What to Expect

Buy tickets online with our Timed Ticketing system and choose the day and time you want to visit. You can also purchase an “unscheduled ticket” with no set time; just exchange for a timed ticket at the Box Office when you arrive.

Located at the 50th Street entrance (between Fifth and Sixth Avenues), the Box Office is open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are sold for the next available time, which is sometimes right away and sometimes not. (To avoid the uncertainty, buy timed tickets online.)

We're bringing the Box Office to you! Watch for Top of the Rock employees clad in red and black with handheld ticketing
devices on nearby sidewalks. (Please note, the mobile sales team is credit card only).

The main entrance to Top of the Rock is located on 50th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. There is also an entrance on the concourse level of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

the spectacular “Joie” soars through three floors over the Grand Atrium Lobby. Made of 14,000 individual crystals with fiber-optic illumination, “Joie” is the largest lighting installation of its kind and an unforgettable sight to see.

For everyone’s peace of mind, all visitors must pass through a security checkpoint and all bags must be scanned. No weapons of any kind are permitted in the building, including any type of knife or sharp object. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.

Your path to the Top takes you through a collection of photos and artifacts that tell the fascinating story of Top of the Rock and Rockefeller Center. It’s a bit of education
that heightens the anticipation.

That iconic image of construction workers having lunch on a beam? That happened here. Walk in their footsteps on the interactive Beam Walk and pause for a photographic tribute you can purchase after visiting the Top. Watch your step!

Before exiting the Mezzanine Exhibit, pause in the Theater to view a short video presentation about the art and
history of Rockefeller Center.

It takes less than a minute, but you’ll remember it for years. Your trip to the Top is an exhilarating elevator ride unlike any other.

Created by Swarovski, “Radiance” is the first of its kind, a breathtaking wall of glass panels, mouth-blown glass, crystal clusters, and fiber-optic lighting. Look closely—is something looking back at you?

Step into a room with a mind of its own. You’ll be assigned a color, and lights of that color will follow your every move.
It’s great fun for young and old alike.

On the 67th floor, relax in comfortable seating and enjoy views in any weather through the floor-to-ceiling windows. You'll find a Gift Shop here as well as on the 69th floor.

Use the binoculars to explore the unobstructed views through glass panels on the 67th and 69th floors, and in the open air on the 70th floor. On all three levels, you can have your picture taken by a Kodak pro. Retrieve it as you exit and share it on topoftherocknyc.com.

Pick up a souvenir of your time at the Top, or a gift for those back home. Mementos of this extraordinary destination are available to fit any budget and delight any age. Gift Shops are found on the 67th and 69th floors, in addition to the main Gift Shop in the
Concourse as you exit.
