What are the hours of operation?
Top of the Rock is open from 8:00am to midnight, 7 days a week. The first elevator goes up at 8:00am, the last one at 11:00pm. Hours of operation may vary on holidays.

Where is the main entrance to Top of the Rock?
The main entrance is located on 50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues.
Is there a restaurant and/or bar at Top of the Rock?
No, there is not a restaurant or bar located at Top of the Rock, but there are many dining options on the concourse level of 30 Rockefeller Plaza (where you exit the elevators) and also many restaurants in the general vicinity.
How long can visitors stay on the observation decks?
There is no time limit as to how long guests can stay on the observation decks during operating hours. The average length of stay is about 45 minutes to an hour.
Top of the Rock is a three level observation deck that consists of the 67th, 69th, and 70th floors of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Total surface area of all the decks together is approximately 55,000 square-feet (5,110 m2). The upper deck is 850 feet (260 m) above street level.
Are there restrooms located at Top of the Rock?
Yes, restrooms can be accessed once inside the attraction.
Can I visit the mezzanine level exhibit after I visit the observation decks?
Due to crowd flow purposes, the pre-show exhibit can only be viewed before visiting the observation decks.
Is there an outdoor viewing area?
The 67th and 69th floors include outdoor terraces which feature fully transparent, safety glass. The 70th floor, the uppermost level, provides a completely open air, unobstructed 360-degree view of New York City and beyond.
Is Top of the Rock weather dependent?
Top of the Rock is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, despite weather conditions. In the case of inclement weather, portions of the deck may be closed for safety reasons. Guests will be advised about weather conditions and visibility prior to entry. Top of the Rock will not refund tickets in the case of inclement weather, however we will reissue your ticket for a future time and date.
Is the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree and/or Skating Rink visible from the Top of the Rock?
Unfortunately, no. However, both are easily accessible from the Concourse retail shop where guests exit the elevators after their visit.

Am I required to purchase tickets in advance?
Advanced reservations are suggested, but not required.
If I have my tickets printed out do I still have to stand in line?
If you already have your tickets in hand, you may bypass the ticket line and proceed to the mezzanine pre-show exhibit.
What if I show up late and miss my time slot?
In an effort to provide excellent customer service, Top of the Rock will honor the ticket on the same day and will provide access in the next available time slot.
What if I show up earlier than my time slot?
In the event of early arrival, we will attempt to accommodate guests in the next available time slot. If we are unable to provide early access, we will ask that you return at your scheduled ticket time.
Can I purchase tickets online the day I want to visit Top of the Rock?
Tickets can be purchased online, one half hour or more in advance. Anything less must be done in person at the box office between the hours of 8:00am and 10:50pm.
What if I can't print the tickets I purchased online?
Please present the credit card used to purchase the tickets at the box office upon arrival in order to have your tickets printed for you. It is recommended that you bring the confirmation number from the first ticket in your purchase. This number is located under the barcode on your ticket.
Why didn't I receive a confirmation e-mail?
Confirmation emails are sometimes routed to spam or junk mail folders. If a confirmation email is not received within an hour of purchase, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our customer care representatives will be happy to assist you.
Are children under 6 years of age admitted for free?
Yes, admittance for children under 6 years of age is free when accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. This does not apply to groups.
What is the cancellation policy?
Tickets must be refunded at least 24 hours prior to the reserved time slot. If tickets are not canceled within a 24 hour period, a refund will not be provided, however Top of the Rock will reissue the ticket for a later date and time.
Can I change my ticket time online?
In order to change your ticket time, you must refund your ticket through the online refund option, if the ticket was originally purchased online. This must be completed 24 hours prior to the time slot on the ticket. A new ticket will need to be purchased once the refund has been completed.
What is the Will Call Desk?
The Will Call Desk will exchange third party vouchers, re-print online tickets and process groups. It is located inside the main entrance on 50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. The Will Call Desk is open from 8:00am to 9:00pm.
Do you offer corporate discounts and/ or group rates?
We offer a discount for groups of 20 people or more. Please contact the Group Sales Department at (212) 698-2000 or send an email to email@example.com to book your group visit.
Do you offer discounts for travel professionals?

What is your merchandise return policy?
Top of the Rock retail shops offer prompt refunds or exchanges of merchandise within the following guidelines:
- Merchandise returned with a valid receipt will be exchanged or refunded for the purchased price within 30 days of the original sale date.Merchandise returned with a valid receipt will be refunded in the same tender type as the original purchase.
- Rockefeller Center merchandise must have all tags and tickets attached for return and must be accompanied by a valid receipt.
- Merchandise returned without a valid receipt may be exchanged at the current selling price or may be returned for a merchandise credit.

Photos can be picked up at the Kodak counter located in the Top of the Rock gift shop on the concourse level of 30 Rockefeller Center when guests exit the elevators after their visit.
How do I pick up my Kodak photo online?
Preview and purchase your photos by visiting http://photos.topoftherocknyc.com. The photo ID number located on the Kodak Photo Claim Card is required to access the images. Photos are available online up to 30 days after your visit to Top of the Rock.
Where is the nearest MTA subway station?
The 47-50 Streets, Rockefeller Center MTA subway station is located on the concourse level of 30 Rockefeller Center. The B, D, F, and M trains can be accessed from this station.

What does the tour entail? What buildings, murals, statues etc. are covered in this tour?
A guide will lead guests through Rockefeller Center’s buildings, streets and landmarks, focusing on the art and architecture of the Center. Featured in the tour are original installations, all by world-renowned artists, such as:
• Sculptures by Isamu Noguchi, Michio Ihara, and Paul Manship, including the iconic Prometheus statue
• Exquisite murals by Jose Maria Sert and Sir Frank Brangwyn
• Historic relief sculptures by Lee Lawrie, Gaston Lachaise, Attilio Piccirilli, and Leo Lentelli
In addition, guests will be taken through the Channel Gardens, the world-famous Skating Rink, and several buildings of this art deco masterpiece, including the “GE Building,” also known as 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
Each tour differs slightly from the next; however, all major landmarks and artworks will be covered.
Is the tour available in languages other than English?
Tours are conducted in English by a tour guide. It may be possible to arrange for your own translator for your group; please contact our Group Sales department at 212-698-2000.
Does this include a tour of NBC Studios or Radio City Music Hall?
NBC Studios and Radio City Music Hall offer their own tours of these venues, and are not included in the Rockefeller Center tour.
What is the schedule for the tour? Why does it change?
Currently, tours are offered daily, on the hour, from 10:00am thru 4:00pm. These times are subject to change depending on season and availability.

We offer a combination ticket with Top of the Rock, the majestic observation deck atop 30 Rockefeller Center. Most guests choose to visit Top of the Rock following the tour.
Is there seating available?
This is a walking tour, covering many points of interest within a set amount of time; although seating is available in many of the public spaces, the schedule does not allow for a rest period.
Is it accessible for a person with a disability?
The tour may not be suitable for guests who are unable to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Rockefeller Center is wheelchair accessible.
How long are the tours?
The tour lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
What is the maximum amount of people on the tour?
We can accommodate 20 people per group, up to three groups at a time (maximum 60 people).
Is the tour suitable for young children? If so, are strollers allowed on the tour?
Children and strollers are welcome on the tour; however, please keep in mind the focus of the tour is historical and targeted to adults, and young children may not understand the context of the information given.
Will the tour take place in bad weather?
In times of inclement weather, the guide may choose to focus on interior artworks and points of interest. However, moving from building to building will require walking outside, so please dress and prepare accordingly. Umbrellas will not be available from the guide.
Will the tour guide provide guests with audio equipment to use throughout the tour?
Guests will use headsets to ensure a clear, uninterrupted experience. This closed circuit connection makes this tour unique amidst the hustle and bustle of New York City.
Is Top of the Rock wheelchair accessible?
Top of the Rock is in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. This includes full wheelchair accessibility.
Can I bring my pet?
Top of the Rock only allows Guide Dogs.
Are strollers allowed?
Strollers are permitted, however they must be collapsible.
Can I bring tripods? What about professional video cameras?
We do not allow tripods or professional video cameras on the observation deck. To schedule a professional film or photo shoot, please complete the request form located on the Contact Us portion of the website, http://www.topoftherocknyc.com/contact, and email to email@example.com.
Are specific items prohibited from entering the building and/or observation deck?
Items that present a danger to the safety of visitors and employees will not be permitted in the building or on the observation decks. These items include, but are not limited to, weapons, lighters, glass bottles and flammable substances. For more information, please contact 212-698-2000.
Can I bring food and beverage to Top of the Rock?
We do not allow food or beverages on the observation decks.
