What to Expect
Ticket OptionsWith Timed Ticketing and multiple ways to purchase, obtaining Top of the Rock tickets is easy. Buy online, step up to the Box Office, or visit one of the self-serve kiosks on the concourse level of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
OnlineBuy tickets online with our Timed Ticketing system and choose the day and time you want to visit. You can also purchase an “unscheduled ticket” with no set time; just exchange for a timed ticket at the Box Office when you arrive.
Box OfficeLocated at the 50th Street entrance (between Fifth and Sixth Avenues), the Box Office is open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are sold for the next available time, which is sometimes right away and sometimes not. (To avoid the uncertainty, buy timed tickets online.)
Mobile TeamWe're bringing the Box Office to you! Watch for Top of the Rock employees clad in red and black with handheld ticketing
devices on nearby sidewalks. (Please note, the mobile sales team is credit card only).

EntrancesThe main entrance to Top of the Rock is located on 50th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. There is also an entrance on the concourse level of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
Joie ChandelierCrafted especially for Top of the Rock by Swarovski,
the spectacular “Joie” soars through three floors over the Grand Atrium Lobby. Made of 14,000 individual crystals with fiber-optic illumination, “Joie” is the largest lighting installation of its kind and an unforgettable sight to see.
Security CheckpointFor everyone’s peace of mind, all visitors must pass through a security checkpoint and all bags must be scanned. No weapons of any kind are permitted in the building, including any type of knife or sharp object. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
Mezzanine ExhibitYour path to the Top takes you through a collection of photos and artifacts that tell the fascinating story of Top of the Rock and Rockefeller Center. It’s a bit of education
that heightens the anticipation.
Beam WalkThat iconic image of construction workers having lunch on a beam? That happened here. Walk in their footsteps on the interactive Beam Walk and pause for a photographic tribute you can purchase after visiting the Top. Watch your step!
TheaterBefore exiting the Mezzanine Exhibit, pause in the Theater to view a short video presentation about the art and
history of Rockefeller Center.
Sky ShuttleIt takes less than a minute, but you’ll remember it for years. Your trip to the Top is an exhilarating elevator ride unlike any other.
At The Top
At The TopTake your time and take it all in. It’s a dramatic view of New York City you just can’t get anywhere else. Day or night, three floors of indoor and outdoor decks offer stunning panoramas of the city’s energy, wonder, and beauty.
Radiance WallCreated by Swarovski, “Radiance” is the first of its kind, a breathtaking wall of glass panels, mouth-blown glass, crystal clusters, and fiber-optic lighting. Look closely—is something looking back at you?
BreezewayStep into a room with a mind of its own. You’ll be assigned a color, and lights of that color will follow your every move.
It’s great fun for young and old alike.
Indoor SpaceOn the 67th floor, relax in comfortable seating and enjoy views in any weather through the floor-to-ceiling windows. You'll find a Gift Shop here as well as on the 69th floor.
Outdoor ViewingUse the binoculars to explore the unobstructed views through glass panels on the 67th and 69th floors, and in the open air on the 70th floor. On all three levels, you can have your picture taken by a Kodak pro. Retrieve it as you exit and share it on topoftherocknyc.com.

Share Your ViewsLet everyone see New York through your eyes. After your visit, share your photos and stories from the Top right here at Share the Experience, where you can also download your Kodak photo (if you didn’t pick it up on your way out).
Buy timed tickets.Whether you buy online or at the Box Office, timed tickets let you choose the date and time you want to visit and start your trip to the Top right away.
Make a day of it.There’s so much to see and do at Rockefeller Center—NBC Studios, the Rockefeller Center Tour, fabulous shopping and dining, and more. Relax and make your Top of the Rock visit part of a memorable day.

Gift Shops to the rescue.If you do find yourself camera-less, pick one up at one of the Gift Shops, along with any other necessities you may have forgotten.
Dress for the weather.With three outdoor observation levels and no time limits, be prepared with seasonal clothing, sunscreen, and sunglasses. (Of course, the indoor space at the Top allows you to enjoy the views in cozy comfort regardless of the weather.)
Bring plenty of quarters.You’ll want to maximize your views from the Top by using the coin-operated binoculars. (No change? No problem—stop by one of the Gift Shops.)
